Utah Here We Come
On Wednesday we are heading to Utah and will be there until the 30th of December. We are so excited! We can't wait to have Christmas with family. See you soon!
Rachel Sleeps Funny
We had put Rachel in her bed and she didn't want to go to sleep and was crying. She finally settled down and we went in and she was sleeping like this.
How uncomfortable does that look? What a silly girl!

Grams and Grandpa Visit
Grams and Grandpa came to visit over Halloween. I apparently didn't get many pictures of the kids in Halloween costumes. They must be all videos. I'll have to dress them up again and take pictures :)
Grandma Millward sent Benjamin and Rachel this singing and dancing pumpkin and he would push the button and we had to dance over and over again. It was really cute.
The Saturday before Halloween a couple wards got together and we had a Trunk-or-Treat. We only went around to a few because it was cold and really windy. Benjamin would make us go with him right up to the car and then he would whisper "Trick or Treat" and then we would tell him to say thank you and he would whisper that too. It was funny. On Halloween we went trick-or-treating to a couple of houses in our neighborhood and some ward members. He had a great time and he did better at saying trick or treat aloud.
One night we made spider smores. They were really good. We took the middle part out of some rolls then put melted marshmallows and graham crackers inside. Then frosted them with chocolate frosting and decorated them.
While Grams and Grandpa were here we also started to make a bunk bed for Benjamin so we can put Rachel's crib underneath. We aren't done yet. We'll post pictures of the finished product later. We stayed up really late a couple of nights working on it.
We had a lot of fun while Grams and Grandpa were here. We miss being by family. We love you all!
Rachel's New Coat
This is Rachel in her new coat. She looks so cute in it. It's a little big still, but it keeps her warm.
Just Resting
So Rachel liked to just all of a sudden lay down on the ground, just because. It was really cute. She doesn't do it anymore. But here's some pictures of it.
Completely Potty Trained
It's been a while since I have posted. I just downloaded all our pictures so there's gonna be several posts. Benjamin is now completely potty trained. After a couple of days of wearing underwear and having accidents he finally figured out when he needed to go and held it until he got to the potty. After he figured that out we completely stopped using diapers including night time. He had a couple of accidents at night and he woke up screaming. He didn't have any more accidents after that. He was able to get his Thomas tent because he went in the potty 20 times.
He's taking after his daddy and reading Calvin and Hobbes while on the potty :D
Sorry the pictures are sideways I forgot to flip them. Oh well.

Potty Training
Benjamin hasn't had the desire at all to get potty trained so we bought him a pop up tent of Thomas to entice him to want to go potty. He went a couple of times and then lost interest in going potty. He just wanted to play with the train. So the Friday before conference I told him that if he went without a diaper until Daddy came home from work then we could go get ice cream. So all that day he ran around the house naked and went potty in the "Big Boy Potty" with only one or two accidents and when Daddy came home we went to get ice cream. We did the same thing Saturday and Sunday while we were home watching General Conference and he chose some ice cream cones and ice cream sandwiches that he could have as a reward for going potty and I think he only had one accident between those two days. So after the weekend I tried putting him in underwear and as soon as he had underwear on he went potty in his underwear. I took them off again and he doesn't have a single accident. His subconscience tells him that there's something on his bumb so he can go in his underwear or something. Well, I let him go some more just running around without pants on and we've occasionally tried to put underwear on without much success. Yesterday I put underwear on him and he went and sat on the potty without taking his underwear down and went potty. So that was a step in the right direction. Today, he actually ran to the potty and I told him to take his underwear down so he did and he went potty. So hopefully he will be completely potty trained soon. Here's a picture of Benjamin in his underwear. Yesterday we got some Buzz and Thomas underwear so hopefully that will be more incentive to want to wear them.
Zoo Trip
This is our most recent trip to the zoo. We're wanting to go this Saturday too so maybe we'll have more cute pictures this weekend. The hippo tank was actually clean this time so we were able to see the hippos from underneath while they were in the water. The gorilla that we have pictures of is a new gorilla and he was very interactive with those watching him. He would stare at you through the glass and go from one person to the next, rather than ignoring you. He also started running all of a sudden from one end of the habitat to the next. It was really cool! They can move so fast! The bear was also really cute. There was a ball in the water and she pulled it up out of the water and rested her chin on as if to pose for pictures. Benjamin loves the zoo so our zoo membership was worth it this year. We went quite a few times. It's more enjoyable now that it's not so hot though. This year we broke the record of consecutive days over 100 degrees. I think we were over 100 for at least 2 months. Needless to say, we didn't go outside very much this summer.
