We went to the doctor this last Thursday and he is a healthy boy, but the doctor is a little concerned about his weight. Here are his stats from his visit:
Weight: 21 lbs. Percentile: 6%
Height: 30.5 in. Percentile: 26%
Head Circumference: 46.5 cm. Percentile: 28%
So overall he's a pretty small boy. He dropped from the high eighties for height down to 26%.
Here are some other things Benjamin is doing:
*He likes to scribble and we have to be careful that he doesn't get a pen or he'll write all over the couch.
*He says 'dog' 'more' and ball'.
*He loves to imitate us in what we are doing.
*Benjamin is very independent and loves to do things by himself, especially feeding himself. He is getting a lot better at using silverware.
*He loves to read books. He'll grab a book and plop down into our lap so we will read it to him.
*He loves to dance. When he hears music he'll start bobbing up and down. Lately he's been adding some foot movement into his routine as well :)
*Benjamin is starting to drink out of regular cups. He drinks out of a sippy cup but when he gets the chance he would rather try a big cup.
*He is starting to clean things up.
*He likes to throw trash in the garbage can.
*He loves playing in his pool and sandbox.
That's all I can think of right now. I will keep you updated!

Happy Father's Day!
This morning I made Michael breakfast in bed. I'm glad that it turned out because I don't fix breakfast. Michael is the one that makes breakfast around here. I make everything else. Then we went to church and Michael got a candy bar for Father's Day and Benjamin ate most of it :) Then after church we made some dinner for another friend that just had their baby. Then we got to go home and eat dinner and I couldn't wait for dessert because...it was just awesome! Here are some pictures.
We had barbeque for dinner as well. Can you tell what the cupcakes are? Benjamin's handprint is supposed to be by mine with his name written across it as well, but he was in bed when I made this last night and he hasn't been feeling too well today. So it will be added later when he's feeling better.

What'd You Do Shadow?
We watched our friends dog while they had their baby and they had a crate for Nellie to sleep in. Now Nellie is a golden lab and Shadow of course is a black lab and we wanted to see how Shadow fit in the crate because he looks like a horse compared to Nellie. So this is the result :)
He doesn't fit so well.
Pioneer Hat
So Benjamin loves to put on Daddy's hat that he bought for the trek and I thought that I would share with you!

Pioneer Trek
This last weekend we got to go on a Pioneer Trek with the youth in our stake. We got to be a ma and pa. It was a lot of fun. The first day we walked 5.5 miles into camp and then we had a fireside and hung out the rest of the night. The second day we only walked between 3 and 4 miles, but we had someone faint on the trail due to dehydration. It was scary. Then that night we had games to play and we got to wash our hair. President Rawson and his wife gave a fireside that night as well and we had a testimony meeting afterwards. The last day we got up really early so we could beat the heat because it was going to be near 100 degrees with high humidity. I think we hiked 5 miles and met up with the buses. We got to cross a couple rivers as well which was really fun and it was really windy so it made for a pretty nice day. Michael's parents came and watched Benjamin while we were gone, so we owe them many thanks because we were able to go on the trek. Benjamin loved having his grandparents here because they spoiled him rotten. They bought him a pool and a sand box and gave him lots and lots of attention. We miss them and were sad to see them leave. It's hard being away from family, but we love it here in Kansas.
