Catch Up

It's been a while since I have posted and I'm sorry. I got pictures downloaded to my computer now so I will try and catch up. Life is going good. In October we went to Utah for Joshua's wedding and it was a lot of fun. Josh is finally married and he found himself a nice girl. Benjamin and I stayed a week longer than Michael so that I could go to Kristy's wedding which was awesome as well. I got to hang out with some friends from high school and their cute babies, which I am so glad that we got to do because it has been a while since we have all seen each other.

Joshua and Lori

Grandpa Davis brought Benjamin this outfit and sword home from Japan.

Aunt Martha's 50th birthday party which I got to decorate for :)

Benjamin going to town on some apple cider. Michael decided to give him a sip and he loved it so he grabbed the cup and shoved it to his mouth. It was so cute!

Michael and I bought a ceramic nativity set that we could paint so we have been painting that for a while. We are almost done, hopefully we'll be done by the end of the week. We have pictures of Mary and Joseph. I did Mary and Michael did Joseph. We'll update when we get the whole set done.

Halloween was a lot of fun. Michael carved a pumpkin of Benjamin and it looked amazing! I wasn't in the mood to really carve so I did stick figures :) For Halloween we did the trunk or treat and handed out candy. For the first part of the day Benjamin was a cow and the second part of the day he was a cute little frog. I dressed up as a pioneer and Michael dressed up as an old man. It was a lot of fun!

Benajmin is being my model so I can get some practice at taking pictures :) Actually he's just so cute I wanted to take pictures of him.

One day Michael was cleaning carpets and he was holding Benjamin while cleaning and Benjamin fell asleep on his shoulder. It was so cute! It's amazing what noise they can sleep through.

More recent updates: I was released from being the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency and I am now the 1st counselor in the young women's presidency. I am also going to start watching two kids who are ages 1 1/2 and 3 1/2. She'll pay me as much as she would a day care. I'll be watching them about 2 times a week. Really, whenever she gets called in to sub. So we'll see how that goes. That is about all that is happening right now. Updates to come more often.

6 Months Old!

Okay so he has been six months old since the 3rd, but I haven't put a picture up yet. We just went to his six month appointment today though. So here are his stats:

Weight: 17 lbs. Percentile: 29%
Height: 27 3/4 in. Percentile: 81%
Head: 43.5 cm Percentile: 32%

Maybe we'll have a little chef on our hands.

I have been waiting for forever for him to be able to wear this outfit. I absolutely love it!

Enjoying his veggies from Doc Scott.

Benjamin started to crawl last Monday! So he goes exploring. He is still a little wobbly but can get where he wants to go. Benjamin also loves his dog! Him and Shadow are best friends. It's so cute! He is starting to get his two bottom teeth. We can see that they are close to breaking through his gums and he has been really onery lately. It's sad to see him hurt so much :( He is so much fun and we love having him with us!!

5 Months Old!

Benjamin is getting so big! I can't believe it has already been 5 months. This time is going so quickly. Benjamin can now sit on his own pretty much and he will get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. He wants to crawl so bad but isn't quite sure how to do it. It is really cute! It won't be long til he figures it out though.

2 Year Anniversary

We have been married for two whole years now! Wow time goes so fast, but at the same time it feels like we've been together forever. We had a wonderful day and it was all planned by Michael. Michael made me breakfast before he went to work and then he came home for lunch and we went to Wichita Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful there and we got a lot of great pictures! We spent four or five hours walking around the gardens.

After the gardens we went to a scrapbook store where I was able to choose my own anniversary present. Michael said that he was going to choose so he went to a store but there was way too much stuff so he decided to take me along. It started to pour rain while we were there and it was a twenty minute drive home. Luckily the storms pass through quickly in Kansas so it wasn't too bad on the way home.

When we got home we scrapbooked a couple of pages of our wedding pictures. Well, we started with the bridal pictures. It was a lot of fun doing it together. It's going to take a long time to get everything in a scrapbook because we have a lot of pictures. We were up till about 10:30 scrapbooking. Needless to say, Michael was tired the next day at work :) Michael also made me dinner that night so I didn't have to cook which was really nice.

Here are some pictures of our time at the Botanical Gardens:

4 Months Old!

Benjamin is now four months old! It is crazy how fast they grow up. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and he got some more shots. I wanted to cry. I wish they would make later appointments so Michael could take him. I hate seeing him get shots. Anyway, here are his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs. 8 oz. Percentile: 58
Height: 25.5 inches Percentile: 67
Head Circumference: 41.7 cm Percentile: 31

He is doing so well. He loves his jumper and exersaucer. He is grabbing things now and will sometimes play with a rattle for a minute or two. He tracks people really well. He loves to watch Shadow. They are going to be great friends when he gets a little bigger and can play with him. He loves to squeal and he kind of gets a little bit of a giggle going, but he has only fully giggled a couple of times last month. Hopefully he starts doing that more often because it is really cute. I'll try and be better about giving updates about what is going on in our life.

Nauvoo Vacation

Last week my parents drove out here to pick up Parker and take him home since he is done with school...sort of. He still has to finish his internet class. Anyway, they started their journey on Thursday and arrived here Friday about 12:00PM. Michael came home from work at about 1:00PM and we all jumped in the van that we rented and headed to Nauvoo for some historic vacationing. The journey to Nauvoo was only supposed to take 7 to 7 1/2 hours but we used my parent's GPS and it took nearly 12 hours to get there, so we got to Nauvoo about 2:00AM Saturday morning. Apparently the GPS was set to shortest distance so it was taking us through dirt roads and all kinds of weird things. It got really frustrating. We asked my mom about the settings and she said they were all correct but the next day when Michael was looking at the GPS he found that the settings were all weird. We went to all kinds of shows and looked at all the houses and buildings. It was really a cool experience. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

We started our trip by going to the early temple session on Saturday morning. The Nauvoo temple is beautiful.

These are the graves of Joseph, Hyrum, and Emma.

This is the Mansion House where Joseph and Emma resided for a short time.

Benjamin got tired so he decided to take a nap while we were touring Nauvoo.

Garrett decided to climb trees so Parker had to follow suit. Garrett got up a lot easier than Parker did. Parker, you need to work out a little more.

Michael and Benjamin are ready to cross the plains.

Oxen ride. Those are big animals!

Garrett and Parker doing the stick pull. I could have told you Garrett would win.

This is "Sunset by the Mississippi". We went to an outside stage and the performing missionaries and the senior missionaries put on a little skit type thing. It was cute.

Benjamin is really enjoying the long car trip.

On the way home we stopped by Adam-Ondi-Ahman and Liberty Jail.

The Liberty Visitors Center is built around the reconstruction of the jail. They had a recording of journal entries and such about what was going on in the jail and the revelations received.

This is the RLDS Temple across from the Independence Visitors Center. We are in the Missouri Independence Mission so we saw a couple of sisters that had served in our ward while we were in the visitors center. One of them even took us on the tour. It was cool.
